An amazing outlook over a formal garden

We were engaged to create a striking garden with strong axis, vistas and overall bold layout for this prestigious new build project in Scarcroft.

The main focus of the design was to have an amazing outlook over a formal garden yet bring colour and interest year round, with a focal point to draw the eye and a wow factor for when guests arrive.

We developed two concept designs for feedback from the client and then worked on a final Design and 3D animated renders from which we provided a detailed quote.

The final Design features a strong masculine layout of paths, lawn, avenue of pleached trees and layered hedging.  A ‘secret garden’ behind a curtain of Yew hedge is hidden from the main viewpoint and upon entering, is a wealth of colour and floral interest in complete contrast to the main garden.  We designed a bespoke pergola to frame the view in also creating a place to pause and enjoy the planting at garden level.

Bold contemporary planters punctuate the garden perimeter and a large David Harber ‘Filium’ sculpture sits centre stage to draw the eye as you step out onto the upper terrace.

"We believe it is important to offer our clients a quality service that not only shows innovative design but also a cost-effective means of construction. We work closely with other professionals in the field but also coordinate our own hard and soft landscape team, which means we can offer a ‘turn-key’ service with no project management fees, reducing the potential for error and ultimately the cost to the client”.
